Joel Pastor has been the sounding board of Filipino Amateur radio in the US. He has contributed to many Filipino inspired causes such as PINOYHAM.ORG. His contributions to the community was instrumental in putting the PINOY HAMS in the fore front of amateur radio especially in the west coast. He conceptualized the Grandeyeball-QSO which is now an annual event and the largest Filipino Ham convention held outside the Philippines.                  - pinoyham editor
